giving HUMANITARIAN AID

Humanitarian aid plays a vital role in giving love to people in need of refuge. We’re committing to providing resources such as food, shelter, appropriate clothing, and emotional support when people find themselves in need of refuge.

Join us in giving love through humanitarian efforts to provide comfort and relief to people around the world in their time of need.

If you have a partnership opportunity that fits within our mission and vision in giving humanitarian aid, please contact us.

funding EDUCATION

We have the incredible opportunity to fund education opportunities for refugees in India and children escaping indentured slavery in Pakistan.

We believe education is key to generational change in vulnerable communities. We’re partnering with a local school in Delhi, India serving Burmese refugees of all ages while their country is in civil war. This school offers traditional K-12 education, in addition to vocational, English, computer, and music classes for adults.

empowering ENTREPRENEURS

We’ve partnered with Agape Church in Gujranwala, Pakistan setting free families trapped in indentured slavery for generations. While Agape Church pays for the families’ debts to free them, Love Abounds is committing to funding a year of freedom, this includes: - supplies for the families to start a small business (i.e. a taxi rickshaw, popcorn stand, etc.)
-
shelter for one year
- other basic necessities to start a life of freedom as needed

fostering places of REFUGE

We are joining the fight against modern-day slavery in its many various forms. We know that as people experience freedom from slavery, they are in need of a place of refuge. In 2024, our desire is to continue building partner with global organizations creating places of refuge for people fleeing slavery.

We’re praying for open doors to walk through in the coming years to better act on this call to be a refuge.

2024: A YEAR TO PIVOT

SAME VISION. NEW FOCUS.

For nearly 10 years we worked in rural Zambia giving love to make lasting change in Kanchubwi Village.

As we reflect on our Zambian history, we are overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving, we leave behind a legacy of love:

What’s our Zambian story?

  • 15 children called our home for abandoned & orphaned children, Life Okendewa, home for 6 years! In that time they received an abundance of love and care. Their education, health, and happiness became our only motivation. Many of these kids were not even in the proverbial race on arrival and now all 15 children are running towards their goal of living a happy, healthy, and beautiful life.

  • 25 borehole wells across rural Zambia and approximately 20,000 people now have access to clean water! We recently received word from Zambians who are experiencing a severe drought this year, “all the hand-dug wells are completely dry. Where would we be without the borehole wells given to us by Love Abounds?”

  • We empowered women entrepreneurs who became motivational stories across the region for hard work, perseverance, and daring to take action! The women who participated in our Chicks Empowered programs built block houses, fund their children’s education, and provide for their families generationally.

At the end of 2023, we announced to our monthly donors and longtime friends of Love Abounds that our chapter in Kanchubwi Village had closed. You can find that letter linked below:

We are inspired by the abundance of Christ’s love for us. We commit our lives to sharing tangible love with people in need of refuge.

David & Bethany Morgan

Founders

David and Bethany are two passionate individuals dedicated to sharing from the abundance of Jesus' love for them  to the world around them.

They started Love Abounds simply as a fundraiser for borehole wells in 2013.  In 2015 they decided it was time for Love Abounds to take the next step and moved to Zambia for the summer. During this time they knew that the best way to give love and change lives in Kunchubwi Village was to take a holistic approach to development.

In 2023, as the doors in Zambia began to close, David and Bethany felt a call to serve people in need of refuge. Doors began to miraculously open to partner with incredible ministries globally serving refugee populations and people escaping modern-day slavery.

They are passionate about building meaningful relationships with everyone around them. They serve as Youth & Young Adults Pastors at their local church, operate a law firm in their hometown in NC, and aim to be known for their joyful generosity.
